Xtream Codes to M3U Converter

Enter the server address, username and password from your Xtream Codes login and you get the matching M3U playlist link and EPG link, ready to paste into any app. It also works the other way: paste an M3U link and it pulls out the Xtream details.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type here is sent anywhere.

Include the port if your provider gave one.

Fill in the server, username and password to get your links.

How to use it

  1. 1

Enter the login. Type the server URL (with port), username and password exactly as your provider gave them.

  2. 2

Pick the format. Choose the stream format (MPEG-TS or HLS) and whether to include channel groups and logos.

  3. 3

Copy the links. Copy the M3U link and the EPG link into your app.

How Xtream links are built

Xtream Codes is a panel that most IPTV services use. A login gives the app three things: a server address, a username and a password. The same server also produces a classic M3U playlist from that login at a fixed address:

http://server:port/get.php?username=USER&password=PASS&type=m3u_plus&output=ts

and the guide at http://server:port/xmltv.php?username=USER&password=PASS. The converter simply fills those in for you. Nothing is sent to our server or anyone else's: the links are built in your browser, and the converter never contacts the IPTV server.

Which options to pick

  • m3u_plus includes the channel group, logo and tvg-id for each entry. Pick it unless an old device can't handle it, then use plain m3u.
  • Output ts (MPEG-TS) suits most IPTV apps. m3u8 (HLS) works better in browsers, on Apple devices and on flaky connections. Our guide to M3U vs M3U8 explains the difference.

M3U or Xtream login: which to use

If your app supports Xtream login, use it. It loads faster, separates live TV, movies and series, and shows the subscription expiry date. An M3U link is the fallback for apps and devices that only take a playlist, like VLC, Plex or some smart TV apps. We compare the two in M3U vs Xtream Codes.

A word of caution: these links contain your password in plain text. Don't post them in forums or share screenshots of them, and be wary of any site that asks you to submit your login to "check" it. Many legal IPTV services and players use these formats; only use logins you're entitled to.

Questions people ask

How do I convert Xtream Codes to M3U?
Enter the server URL, username and password in the converter. It builds the M3U link in the format server/get.php?username=...&password=...&type=m3u_plus&output=ts, plus the EPG link. Copy them into your app.
What is the EPG URL for Xtream Codes?
It's the same server with /xmltv.php and your username and password, for example http://server:8080/xmltv.php?username=USER&password=PASS. The converter builds it for you.
Is it safe to enter my password here?
The converter runs entirely in your browser and makes no network requests with your details, so nothing is sent to us or stored. Still, treat the finished links like passwords and don't share them.
The M3U link doesn't work. What now?
Check that the server URL includes the right port and http or https, as your provider gave it. If it's still failing, test the link in our M3U checker; a 401 or 403 usually means the login is wrong or expired.
Can I get my Xtream login from an M3U link?
Yes, if it's a get.php link. Switch to M3U to Xtream and paste it: the server, username and password are read from the link.
